About Me

This is what happens when a poet meets an artist. Alicia and Erin share the same love for documentary photography, Mary Ellen Mark, vintage photographs and are both Columbia College of Chicago photography Major Graduates. They combined their similar loves with their different ways of seeing the world to create a wedding photography style that uses both of their unique visions. We take our work very seriously because we know that our photos have to last a lifetime. you won't get the boring, "stand here and smile" wedding photos because we know our photos should be as unique and fun as you are. We put much consideration and care into our clients because they always become our friends. Their day is as unique and important to us because we choose to only shoot a select number of weddings per year and we want those weddings to be with people we connect and share our vision with. It is our pure passion and joy to be able to be a part of your love story, and to create poetry with your wedding day images.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

This Valentines Day we are celebrating love by giving away a free couples session!
all you have to do is leave a poem, song lyric, line from a book/ movie/sonet, hiaku, or even your own poem (we are totally going to count roses are red, violets are blue!) that best represents your relationship. get creative and be inspired by the one you love- both people in your couple can even post! the only rule is to post the poem/song lyric/line from a book/movie/sonet/ or hiaku on the F/stop facebook wall by midnight tomorrow. we will be taking poems until midnight on valentines day when we pick our favorite and announce the winner on wednesday!

FREE BOUDIOR SHOOT GIVE AWAY! *updated!*


So with Valentine ’s Day coming up we thought we would share the love!

We are going to be giving away a free boudoirs shoot this week and a free couple’s session next week!

This week we thought we would play a little game to determine the winner.

Comment on the link for the blog on our Facebook and tell us which statement is true.

Whoever comments with the correct truth wins!

1.       Erin lost a tooth in New York City when she got hit with a beer bottle in a bar. Erin did in fact lose a tooth once due to a drunk clumsy man in a bar but it was in the lovely state of Tennesse not New York.  and her pretty mug was fixed and everyone lived to tell the tale.

2.       Alicia is the clumsiest person you will meet. She has terrible balance and often falls at photo shoots. Alicia actually has freakishly awesome balance. Its kind of her super power. She has a low center of gravity and is hard to knock over, very similar to weeble wobbles.

3.       F/stop Poetry was started like the scene in Jerry McGuire when Tom Cruise yells “who’s coming with me!” when Erin quit her office job at a studio like a rebel and Alicia followed her.
This is true. Erin actually hired Alicia while working as the office manager of another studio and when Alicia found out that Erin left, Alicia followed her and they began shooting together for fun and they've been doing it ever since.
