About Me

This is what happens when a poet meets an artist. Alicia and Erin share the same love for documentary photography, Mary Ellen Mark, vintage photographs and are both Columbia College of Chicago photography Major Graduates. They combined their similar loves with their different ways of seeing the world to create a wedding photography style that uses both of their unique visions. We take our work very seriously because we know that our photos have to last a lifetime. you won't get the boring, "stand here and smile" wedding photos because we know our photos should be as unique and fun as you are. We put much consideration and care into our clients because they always become our friends. Their day is as unique and important to us because we choose to only shoot a select number of weddings per year and we want those weddings to be with people we connect and share our vision with. It is our pure passion and joy to be able to be a part of your love story, and to create poetry with your wedding day images.

some photos from the Benefit.

For Juliana

Erin and I photographed the "for Juliana" Benefit Wednesday night at 115 bourbon street.
The Benefit, like the title suggests was for Juliana Ramos, a woman who had her whole life ahead of her, who is beautiful, and had plans to get married when a puddle changed her life drastically and forced her to wait on her plans.
Juliana was in a car crash that left her with severe head trauma and is now having to learn to walk again and go through painful therapy to gain control over her body.
Her Fiancé, Chris Medina, was a contestant and "American Idol" and that's when like most of America, Erin was inspired and moved by their love story.
Erin called me after seeing the show and said "I don't know what, but we have to do something for these two. " and even though it's not much we volunteered to photograph the benefit and felt absolutely honored to be a part of it.
Juliana's mom, made a speech during the benefit about how planning for the benefit felt like planning for a wedding, and talked about how so much had changed since the day of the accident when Juliana and Chris had just recently gotten engaged, and I knew that feeling of plans changing out of your control,  and I instantly felt ashamed that I would complain about my situation knowing that so many things could be so much worse, and I felt so much hope that even in the face of such hardships and life changing heartbreaks, Chris and Juliana loved each other so deeply that they would weather the storm together, and if for nothing else a love like that is rare and beautiful and should be celebrated. And celebrate they did. with music, songs, and dancing...

F/Stop and Sue Regis Glass art.

F/stop Recently collaborated Sue Regis glass art to memorialize a student of Sue's who tragically died of an accidental drug overdose.
Sue created a piece that would symbolize Ellen and her free spirit. she said her inspiration was clouds and water because Ellen was a Hippie at heart. We photographed the piece outside at sunset as a way of bringing life to Sue's vision.

I think all of us have done reckless things when we are young, thinking that we are immortal. It's a complete tragedy that such a beautiful girl would  lose her life when she had only just started to live.

Sue is holding a gallery showing of the ellen piece as well as doing live glass demonstrations  at:
 In Loving Memory
2863 West 95th Street, Suite 151
Naperville, IL
from 12:00-4:00
